Dr Janelle's Approach to Mental Health
Dr Janelle's approach to resolving poor mental health is to address biochemical and physical factors.
Biochemical imbalances can lead to a range and spectrum of mental health concerns. In order to investigate these underlying causes, Dr Janelle uses diagnostic tools and integrative labatory tests. Through using targeted lab testing and related tools, we eliminate guess-work and are able to formulate a results-based plan.
The individualised plan is formulated inclusive of a personalised diet, specific supplement recommendations, general lifestyle habits and more, all with the intended purpose and outcome of rebalancing your biochemistry.
Meetings with Dr Janelle occur either on Zoom or on Telephone.

INITIAL APPOINTMENT $299
An initial one hour appointment with Dr Janelle, via Zoom or Telephone includes:

A review of your answers to a 12-page health questionnaire prior to the appointment.

Access to high quality practitioner-only supplement products.

Access to practitioner-only international integrative laboratory testing.
FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENT $199
A 40 minute follow-up appointment with Dr Janelle (via Zoom or telephone) involves:

A review of your progress and analysis of any test results.

Written individualised treatment plans including dietary, lifestyle, supplementation and integrative lab testing recommendations.

Access to high quality practitioner-only supplement products.

Access to practitioner-only international integrative laboratory testing.
REVIEW AND ANALYSIS OF TEST RESULTS $30 per test

If you would like Dr Janelle to analyse and interpret your existing test results you must purchase an additional upgrade option

Dr Janelle will interpret standard blood tests such as iron, vitamin B12, vitamin D as part of her initial appointments, and she will interpret tests that she has ordered

This extra charge is applied to tests that were not ordered by Dr Janelle and may be most applicable to those clients wanting a second opinion on existing laboratory results

This option can only be purchased for those who have booked an initial appointment with Dr Janelle

Applicable tests include DUTCH hormone testing, genetic testing, ION profile, organic acid testing (OAT), neurotransmitters

FURTHER INFORMATION

Dr. Janelle's programme does not offer email support between appointments. Basic questions to clarify tests or supplement requirements are acceptable.

Supplements and testing are at an additional cost.

All appointments are conducted by zoom or telephone. Email should ideally be accessible during your appointments. Treatment plans and results are sent via email, and appointment booking is done through our website. Being able to work with this technology is crucial to the success of your appointment.

Once your booking has been made, you will be redirected to a website page and asked to download a health questionnaire. Please save this to your computer, complete and return to Dr. Janelle by email 2 days prior to your appointment. Please also download the information on the integrative laboratory tests offered by Dr. Janelle. Read this prior to your appointment, as Dr. Janelle may ask you to invest in one or two of these tests at your first appointment.

Please note: Dr Janelle is a doctor of biochemistry. She is not a qualified medical doctor, psychiatrist or psychologist. The services we provide have the purpose of investigating and treating the biochemical (physical) imbalances that contribute to mild to moderate depression and/or other mood issues. We are not able to diagnose a medical condition. These services in no way should be construed as psychological counselling or any type of psychotherapy. If you are currently finding it hard to cope, we strongly advise you see a qualified counsellor, psychiatrist, or psychologist for adequate emotional support.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Dr Janelle's appointments are usually between 9am-8pm NZT. Please refer to an online time zone converter to ensure that, based on your location, it is feasible for you to attend an appointment during this time.

As you are an international client, Dr Janelle's recommended tests and supplements may or may not be available in your country. Dr Janelle will do her best to support you in this process, but please realise that as she does not live in your country, she may not have the knowledge regarding logistics. It is expected that you will work alongside Dr Janelle to source the appropriate tests and supplements.
CANCELLATION POLICY

Appointment Cancellation Policy: Appointment cancellations must be submitted at least two (2) business days (minimum of 48 hours) before the scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation charge. For cancellations within 48 hours of the scheduled appointment, a 50% cancellation charge will be imposed. For no-shows and cancellation made within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, a 100% cancellation charge will be imposed.
